Once I got my nose pierced, no one told me that I have a high probably of contracting a puss bump right next to my nose piercing, I guess any cartilage piercing that you get can get infected much easier than if you get your ear lobes pierced because that area is nothing but fat. The cartilage may take the piercing or it may want to reject it... but you should not fear this information because if you start to develop a bump next to your piercing after a couple of months of having it pieced, it`s not your fault and there are ways of getting that bump to go away, so all is not lost.
First, you can try to concentrate your sea salt and warm water solution. By adding ¼ of a teaspoon of salt water and ¼ of a cup of very warm water. Then soak your nose in that solution for five minutes three times a day ,everyday, then use a cotton swab to rub the bump with the sea salt solution for about 10 sec on both sides of the piercing and don`t forget to use both sides of the swab, then pat the skin dry with a clean towel. That salt will start to draw the puss out of that bump and your bump will reduce its size and eventually go away in about week or less, depending on the size of your bump.
You can also try to change your nose ring to a different metal like 24k gold, because you could be allergic to the ring.
If all fails, put two drops of Tea Tree oil on a cotton swab and rub it on your bump for 30 sec, that oil will draw out the puss and your bump will disappear within a week or so.
When I first developed a bump on my nose, I concentrated my sea salt and water solution and my bump really went away within a week, it was like magic (more like osmosis but you get the point). Then when I was visiting family out of town I starting to clean my nose with a scented soap and that irritated my piercing so it got infected again and they didnt have sea salt, but they did have Tea Tree oil. So I used that and it worked just as good as the sea salt solution and my bump went away in within 3 days.
I just want to let you guys know that if you or a friend of yours develops a bump on your nose piercing, first of all ;you are not alone and there are ways to quickly get rid of that nasty bump.
