I recently posted about a haul I ordered from a website called http://NailPolishCanada.com.
You can see my haul here: http://www.luuux.com/health-beauty/nailpolishcanadacom-online-haul?blog_id=46165
One of the polishes I ordered in that haul was this Zoya polish called Savita.
I had never tried any Zoya polishes before, though I have heard about them before, so I was excited to try it out.
But this polish is also a matte polish, something again I have never tried before.
So out of everything in my haul, I picked this one to try out first.
I will say that the application on this was really hard to master. For people using matte polishes, the best way to do it is layer a few very thin coats, letting each dry in between. I tried applying it the way I would regular polish, but as soon as it is on the nail, it dries with a "film" on the top and if you try to add a second coat when it`s still tacky, you end up moving that film around which make the application look messy and uneven.
Unlike regular polish once you apply a stroke, you can`t go over top of it again right away.
It took some getting used to and since the polish is matte, you can see every bump and ridge created by the polish.
But as a whole, I liked the result. The colour is beautiful and the matte makes it so much more interesting than your average polish.
It also dries so much faster than any other polish which is awesome.
And considering you can`t add a top coat (since it will ruin the whole matte effect) it didn`t chip until the 3rd or 4th day.
I`m going to need to try this again, now that I know how to apply it properly.
What do you guys think of this polish? Ever tried matte polish before?
