Zoya Lotus Swatches amp Review

A few weeks ago my husbands cousin sent me a bottle of Zoya Lotus and this past Saturday I finally got around to using it. I have quite a few new bottles of nail polish that Ive not gotten around to using yet unfortunately. lol Anyhow, as always I prepped my nails with my Essie Sensitivity Base Coat and then applied two coats of Lotus and finished with my Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. The first coat went on very streaky, but as I have mentioned before, I tend to do thinner coats. Initially I was a little apprehensive about the color once I had it on my nails. After applying a second coat the color grew on me. I think it could have used a third coat even but we were heading out to dinner with friends and I didnt have time, but in the future I think I will be sure to add the third coat just to obtain a nice even coverage. I love Zoya polish but out of all the colors I own, I found the formula of Lotus to be a bit more on the thinner and more watery side. The color pigmentation is pretty good though as with all the Zoya colors Ive tried thus far. Lotus is a pretty, dusty shade of purple that appears to have a creme finish initially. However, once Lotus is in direct light, especially sunlight, it really comes to life and you can see the subtle pink shimmer. While Lotus is a bit of a different color than I would usually tend to wear, I do quite like it. So far Ive not had any chipping and Ive had Lotus on for three days and the pictures Ive included were taken today. I am thinking that after another day or so I might apply Opal, Maisie or Chloe. So if youre looking for a nice shade of purple Id say give Lotus a try.

Do you own Lotus? What do you think of Zoya products?
