I was craving chocolate covered strawberries the other day so I went out in search for some.
Let me start off by saying...those suckers aren`t cheap! They were $3 at Nob Hill and $2 at a little chocolate shop that we have here in town. I ended up getting the ones at the little chocolate shop. I only got two though because it kind of hurt me to pay so much for strawberries. Especially where I live, we have strawberry fields galore out here. My cousin actually owns some strawberry fields so we always have strawberries at home. I should just make some instead of paying $2 for one!
I don`t really have pictures of those because I ate them as soon as I got home! While I was at the chocolate shop, I couldn`t resist the candy apples. Oh em gee! Sooooo good! I got a rocky road one. It had caramel, chocolate, almonds, marshmallows, and of course the apple lol.
I got home and cut half of it up and shared with my grandma. Then we both wanted more so we ended up eating the whole thing! Haha! It was delish!
Do you like candy coated apples? What is your favorite kind? Any special tricks I should know before I make chocolate covered strawberries?
