A couple of weeks ago, I went to a nice Greek place called Messini down at Danforth.
It`s such an amazing restaurant and its very cheap too! A gyro costs about $5.99 there! And you get a greek salad with it. It`s always packed though. My boyfriend and I went at 10 PM and we still had to wait 30 minutes for a seat.
The difference between Messini gyros is that Messini adds fries in the gyros. The fries actually help offset the saltiness of the sauce and meat.
He ordered a pork gyro and I ordered a chicken one. Mine had a nice helping of chicken meat with lots of lettuce and tomatoes =) It was a bit messy though because the gyro is so huge due to the addition of the fries. But the fries helped in keeping the sauce where it should be and not dripping.
It`s one of my favorite places to go for gyros because its cheap and delicious!
What do you guys think?
