Being such a makeup junkie, and a bargain shopper, Im always on the hunt for the best deals when it comes to make up and beauty products.
I was recently looking on yelp, looking for some new places to look for beauty supplies when I saw a place called Toronto Beauty and Barber Supply. They have a few locations and they have one fairly close to where I live. Since my local Sally closed a few months ago, and the next closest one is a bit of a trek, I decided to try out this place and see if they compared.
I stopped by and was really impressed with their selection. They had all sorts of hair and beauty items, but it was a bit more expensive than I thought. However, I noticed they had plenty of mini polishes so I thought I would check out a few colours since they are cheaper than buying a full size bottle.
They had two HUGE bowls with these mini polishes, 1 of Essie minis and 1 of OPI minis. I picked Navigate Her (from the Navigate Her collection) from the Essie bowl and Fly (from the Nicki Minaj collection) along with a red shade. Unfortunately, the OPI minis dont have names on the bottom. I know that Fly is the one I bought, since I recognized it, and there was a full size bottle as well that I could compare it too. As for the red shade, the saleslady wasnt sure but Im think it may be Red lights ahead...Where? from the new Holland collection.
I headed to the cash and the lady, noticing I had only picked up the mini polishes asked if I had checked out the clearance polish basket. Turns out they had a small basket with some polishes that e were being discontinued, or were from older collections.
They had OPI Ink, which has been a long time favourite of mine, but for some reason, I never purchased. I was upset since apparently its being discontinued, but I figured at least I would finally get myself a bottle. They also The One that Got Away from the Katy Perry collection which I tried at a salon a few weeks ago and fell in love with, but at that point, they were no longer selling it at stores. Both of these were around 6 dollars each which was a great deal.
I really have to stop buying so much nail polish! Its come to a point where I cant even keep up with my purchases! LOL
