One of my favorite places to visit this time of year is the Lake by the monuments in Washington D.C. The reason why is that the lake surrounding areas are full of Cherry Blossom trees that makes for a surreal picture especially with the monuments in the background. Last time we were there there was at least one wedding couple taking their outdoor pictures there. I`m sure the pictures were amazing. In New York City, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden also has something similar with their Japanese Garden but I think Washington D.C. is better. I hope to visit Japan one day where these trees are plentiful in certain areas. The only downside about visiting Washington D.C. this time of year is that it is often quite chilly and windy. They have a Cherry Blossom Parade and they had to remove most of the Hot Air Balloons because of the strong wind when we were there several years ago.
Talk the TALK
1) Have you ever been to Washington DC to see the Cherry Blossoms?
2) What`s your favorite place to vacation that is near you?
