Ok, I want to do a review on Beauty Blender, which costs $19.00 for a single sponge and $40 for the set (which I bought). It basically looks like an egg, a pink egg and you basically submerged it in water and squeeze out the water. After this process the sponge becomes puffy. And you apply your normal foundation routine using the rounder side of the sponge and use the pointier side to do areas like the corners of your nose or under eyes.
At first I was very very skeptical because the thought about using reusable sponge on faceand the price tag that came along with it. Even after I bought this item, I was thinking about returning it but decided to give it a try after another fellow luuuxer commented how wonderful this was. She was absolutely right, I couldnt believe how fast I was able to apply my routine!
The many dupesI cant speak for any other products other than Sonia K blender from Target. I didnt like it at all. It was only $9 so the price is fair but as far as the product itself, its rough when applied to the face and it literally ate up my foundation. I assumed with any sponge you are using more foundation than if you were to apply it with a brush or your finger but Sonia Ks literally took about 3 pumps of my MUFE HD foundation. With the beauty blender I did about 1.5 pumps. 1 pump was a bit short but 2 pumps were a bit much.
The cleaning, the set I bought came with a cleaning solution.
Overall, I love this product and I think its one of the best purchase I made in 2012 so far(ok its only been 2 months). So, Beauty Blender, you are a definitely a YAY for me!
Pics are mine-please dont take.
