If you saw my /viz/target-cosmetics-haul-0 post, you may have seen where I mentioned that the reason I was at Target wasn`t even for makeup, but for a pair of boots that I had seen the week before at a different location.... the same day I made my purchase of /viz/new-flats-target-0. These boots had been on my mind since I saw them. There isn`t even anything fancy about them, but they seemed so comfortable. I already have a pair of tan Ugg boots but wanted something similar in black. I really like that these have what looks like knitted socks folded over the edge. I don`t know why, but it is just a cute touch. These were marked as being $34.99 but they rang up at $30.00. Not too bad. There were SO many boots that I wanted at Target. I`m really going to have to buy a couple more... their selection is pretty fantastic right now. The problem is, finding your shoe size available.... A lot of the sizes for all of the different boots were gone. I thought I was going to need a 10 for the boots I got and there weren`t any. There was a single size 7, two size 8s, and 2 size 9s. Nothing else. I tried on the 9s and luckily they worked out. Even with thick socks on, I still had a bit of room. From the Target site, they are described as being a mid calf boot made from textile (I`m assuming this is the sweater-like material) and genuine suede. Because of the suede, I think I am going to need to spray them down with the weather-proofing stuff I use on my Uggs. They are lined with faux fur. The fur definitely isn`t as thick as you`d find in a pair of Ugg boots. When I pull on my Uggs they feel soft and cushy. These are soft but they don`t have that cushy feel under your foot.
