McDonalds is well known for creating unique things for marketing purposes, such as introducing the black burger bun in Japan. Now, McDonalds has decided to create the Worlds Largest Lunch Box in Australia. This is meant to be a giant pop-up restaurant that is shaped like a Happy Meal. McDonalds in Australia is called Maccas.
They created this to celebrate their new menu. This pop-up restaurant will be travelling all over Australia offering its new Steak Taster Wrap for FREE! The Steak Taster Wrap is made with grilled rump steak lettuce and garlic aioli.
Besides opening the Worlds Largest Lunch Box, Maccas will be offering luxury McDelivery with cars like Lamborghinis and Ferraris. You would need to make a minimum $25 order and would be charged a $5 delivery charge.
Marketing like this is probably one of the reasons why McDonalds has been a top-dog business for many years. By thinking outside the box and creating unique things that havent been done by other companies, makes they stand out from the rest.
What are your thoughts about McDonald`s marketing strategies?
