One of my good friends came up with the idea of going out (almost) every weekend to a nice restaurant and splurging a little bit on fine dishes. Last week we were at a South American restaurant, called Buena Vista. I am not sure what kind of restaurant (Cuban, Argentinean, or Mexican), because it did not specified, so lets call it a South American one.
The menu was hard to choose from, and I really meditated on what to get. I was undecided between spicy chicken and shrimps a la Miguel (the cooks recommendation). In the end, my friend decided for the chicken, so I ordered the shrimps, so we could try them both.
The spicy chicken was indeed, really spicy, and the sauce was amazing too. My friend actually did not finish it, because it was too hot. My shrimps were made in a clay pot, with vegetables and a thick paprika sauce. It was delicious, and the shrimps were divine.
We also ate some desert: a magnificent cheesecake, probably the best I have ever tried (and I am not a fan of cheesecakes). Everything was splashed with rose wine.
I will definitely come again to this wonderful restaurant, to try their other Latin specialties.
