A Canadian man from Northwest Ontario, where the day time temperature in winter doesn`t get much higher than -25 degrees, decided to take on an awesome winter project in his front yard: a fun, warming and colorful ice fort. He spent four weeks filling up plastic boxes with water (some mixed with food dye) and letting them sit out overnight to freeze. He froze 30 boxes every day and, after four weeks of making these blocks of ice, began building a beautiful and warming ice fort in his front garden. It took him more than six full nights to finish the work but, once it was completed, he threw a big party for all his neighbors, where they lit sparklers and lanterns, huddled round a fire, and enjoyed the winter wonderland he had created. What a fantastic and fun idea and what a great neighbor to have!
