According to ZDNet, Microsoft held an event at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, February 29, to launch the Consumer Preview version of Windows 8. The event will last two hours.
In practice, this means that the beta to the general public will come to market in just over two weeks.
According to Microsoft`s plans after the Developer Preview (already available since September last year) and beta arriving in late February, followed by the Release Candidate. This version is the last before Windows 8 is available on the market.
