According to the studio Nicalis digital store sales in the Wii, WiiWare is practically nonexistent.
Speaking to GoNintendo, Tyrone Rodriguez, founder of the studio comments on the cancellation of their game La-Mulana, a platformer side-scroll.
Tyrone says that the game would not achieve sufficient sales in Europe and the U.S., noting that the WiiWare market is a fraction of the players of 2008.
It is also said that the store as commercial success for the games ended in 2009, and began to fall since then. "The players went to other digital platforms," said Tyrone.
Play La-Mulana has been released on PC in 2008 and is since then being produced for WiiWare, but had huge problems in the adoption of content to the console.
