Most people love the casual peanut snack, spreading it on bread, rice cakes, and anything in sight. But why can`t you just put down the spoon already?
Being on a low-fat diet, a low-calorie diet, or simply being stressed can make you crave that creamy goodness. But don`t fight it. While peanut butter is quite high in calories, it is actually very healthy too.
All the calories either come from fat, carbs, or protien. But don`t put down the spoon just because of the high fat content, which is actually healthy monosaturated fat that will lower `bad` LDL cholesterol levels and raises `good` HDL cholesterol levels.
Peanut butter also is fairly filling from all that yummy fat which can actually cause you to eat less. So keep eating your peanut butter people! And put it on everything you can thing of!
P.S. You can also gain lots of vitamins and minerals from peanuts themselves.
