I have shopped for groceries just about everywhere around me, starting with Publix with my mom when I was younger. As I got older, and had the freedom to take the car and grocery shop by myself, I went into a vegetarian and then vegan phase, and shopped at Whole Foods. This became too expensive, so I went back to Publix after my phase ended. After a while, I shopped at the Walmart Neighborhood Market near my house, because Walmart was supposedly cheaper. Now I`m back at Publix, and sometimes Target.
Please read my Publix, Target, Walmart, and Whole Foods comparison for more details.
Walmart is NOT coupon friendly, and the customer service is usually terrible. There was one cashier that I loved, the only one that was genuinly nice, and the only one who believed me when I said I was being true with my coupons. I have never gone there, however, and not had a problem with coupons. With that being said, Publix can be cheaper with a BOGO plus coupon deal, and I didn`t like the meats at Walmart.
Publix is amazing, and if you know how to coupon, it isn`t as expensive as you think it is. I got two bags of bagels and two tubs of cream cheese for $1.38 today, that`s less than $0.12 for one breakfast! Plus the customer service is amazing, they are so nice and always ask how my day is going, and if I would like them to take my cart to my car! I have never had a problem with coupons, and they accept competitor coupons, which makes my savings even greater.
Publix, where shopping is a pleasure.
