Why food is important to olympians.

Normal people have to eat about 2000 or so calories a day depending on your body and what you do with that body. But with olympian athletes...they BURN 4000 to 6000 calories a day! How shocking is that?! That means they have to eat a LOT! For some athletes they burn 15 to 20 calories a MINUTES. Isn`t that amazing?!
