Music is entertaining, but Do you have someone (or even you) who spend a lot of time playing the same song, over and over again? After weeks, even months, probably you`ll hate that song, or you would not care about it. Are you that person?
I`ve searched a bit for this question on science community.
Dr Daniel Müllensiefen - Dept of Psychology, Goldsmiths College, London says:
"I`m not aware of any specific research on that question. People use music differently for a million reasons and the repeat frequency with which a particular person chooses songs probably follows a negative exponential or Zipf distribution.
It would be interesting to know whether people who tend to choose a small number of songs very frequently also show similar choice behaviour in other domains, e.g. food, drink, or entertainment choice. Maybe this choice behaviour is related to the personality dimension `openness to experience` that is part of most big 5 personality models. Let me know if you discover real research around this questions."
Do you agree with him? Or do you have a different point of view?
