Okay, i`m not going to go into the details of this dish and the history of the dish, i`m just going to tell you about it. All I know is sisig was invented in Angeles City in Manila. I`m pretty happy about this because that`s my families home town/city :D.
Apparently it takes a lot of time to cook this Filipino dish but it doesn`t seem that hard at all, but you do need is quite a lot of ingredients.
When I was in the Philippines last, in 2009, I first tried it at this restaurant and I basically fell in love with it. It tasted so good that I couldn`t stop eating it. Because I loved it so much I decided to order it again another day at this other restaurant. But sadly it didn`t taste the same as at the other restaurant.. Don`t you just hate it that everything tastes different at different places because they use different ingredients, I do :(
When I got back into aussie land I was really craving it and I wanted to eat it. Because there isn`t any Filipino restaurants near us, or in the whole of Melbourne actually, I had to look at the recipe and attempt to cook it myself. All I have to say is that looking up the recipe was the worst mistake I have ever made. I regret it so much. Well lets say that I found out what was in it and turned me off it for good.
BUT PLEASE DON`T LISTEN TO ME AND WHAT I HAD TO SAY ABOUT IT, PLEASE DON`T BE TURNED OFF! YOU NEED TO TRY THIS DISH BECAUSE IT IS OH SOOO YUMMY!!!! IT`S REALLY GOOD, TRUST ME :D
