Do you shop at Costco, Sam`s Club or any Warehouse stores? You think you`re getting a great discounted deal but according to experts there are 5 particular items you should NOT buy and here`s why.
What NOT to buy:
#1 - Books, CDs and DVDs
Why? They are expensive and you could find cheaper prices on Amazon or online.
#2 - Condiments, sunscreen & other surprising perishables
Why? These items have an expiration date usually 6 months. Unless you have a large family and could use up all the condiments, sunscreen, lotions, etc within the 6 month period.
#3 - Diapers
Why? You think you`d get a great deal in bulk but at stores like Target, you could score better deals. In fact, recently I was able to stack 2 coupons (Cartwheel, In Store Coupon) plus score a gift card deal back saving more $ per diaper compared to Costco! Plus, diaper sizes vary so buying bulk you might have more of a diaper size that you won`t use up entirely!
#4 - Laundry detergent (I was very shocked to see this on the NOT to buy list)
Why? Laundry detergents could loose efficacy quickly, you should use your detergent up within 6 months to a year. If you do a lot of laundry you could purchase, but if not then you shouldn`t.
#5 - Paper Goods
Why? You could get better deals with using coupons at your local Target, Walmart, etc. But for those who don`t want to do coupons paper goods is still good to buy at Costco!
Are there any items on the NOT to buy list above that you purchase? In my family we do buy laundry detergent and paper goods but luckily we use up the laundry detergent quite quickly!
