What Clarisonic says:
Sonic Skin Cleansing improves skin tone, reduces the appearance of pore size and helps skin care products work their best.
The Clarisonic Skin Cleansing System uses a patented sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second to clean, soften and smooth skin. In just 60 seconds, the micro-massage action removes 6X more makeup and 2X more dirt and oil than cleansing with your hands alone. Removing more dirt and oil from your pores also helps products work more effectively.
What I say:
Okay, so I got this about 3-4 months ago when I was in Oregon (state with no tax... which I love since we have to pay 12% tax on EVERYTHING here now in BC, Canada). I decided to try this out and I bought the Clarisonic PLUS at Nordstrom for... hm... about $220? Sorry I don`t remember the exact price. Comment if you want me to find out how much I actually got it for. Anyway, I was really excited to try it out because I`ve heard so many good things about it from different people and also reading all these positive reviews on http://Sephora.com.
Just a little heads up first before I share my thoughts. The Clarisonic PLUS has 3 level settings, basically low, medium, and high for its intensity of... cleaning. (I was going to put vibration, but I decided better :P) This kit comes with a travel bag, sensitive brush head, a body brush head, three trial size facial cleansers and one skin refining polish. (I was able to score some extra brush heads from the lovely Nordstrom sales lady... Each brush head costs like $20!)
ANYWAY, so I wanted to share my thoughts. This is, in fact, a really good product, GIVEN that you understand your skin and that you find the right kind of schedule and use for it. It took me a couple of weeks to really figure out how I would use this with my skin because, let`s face it, everybody`s skin is different and some times people need to use items differently than others. At first, I used this thing almost every day, which made my skin super dry and broke me out. Honestly, at first, I was like, okay, what the hell, I spent so much money on this thing yet it`s making my skin worse. What`s the deal? So then I thought it through and decided to use it less frequently and in the end, voila! My skin was a lot better and my family members noticed it too.
So overall, it`s a good product, and I do recommend it. I don`t usually get a lot of acne or anything, but I`ll admit it has helped me from hormonal break outs I always get when I`m about to enter my special time of the month, and it`s helped my skin look healthier. As for the body brush, it`s just a bit small which takes me a long time to really do it for my full body so I just use it for my legs, arms and arm pits. I think the only thing about it is that you have to charge it for about a full 24 hours when it runs out of battery.
Okay, well I hope you enjoyed this long review. If you have any questions/comments, go ahead and write below!
My question is... would you ever buy this or try it out?
