Wet n Wild: On A Trip

I posted the other night to my Twitter about how I had just fallen in love with a Wet n Wild Megalast polish. THIS is that polish. I had avoided any new Wet n Wild nail polishes for quite some time because they seem to chip quickly on me. The many that I had accumulated I pretty much reserve for the designs in nail art now. Don`t get me wrong, some are better than others. I just didn`t feel the need to run out and buy any of these. I am now hooked. This is Wet n Wild`s On A Trip. At first glance I thought, Very pretty but I`m sure I have something similar already. Well, I don`t. Not really. I checked my stash and I don`t have anything that I could justify calling a dupe. This is a stunning purple with quite a good amount of blue to it. In some lights it pulls out the blue more. I guess you could say it is blurple. I found this polish to be amazingly easy to work with. For such a cheap polish I`d really have expected some trouble. I got NONE! NO trouble whatsoever. Good job, Wet n Wild! The consistency was thinner than I expected, but not in a watery kind of way. I don`t know why, but I had just expected to find this polish a bit gloopy. I smoothed onto the nail like butter. I am wearing two coats in these photos. I found that one coat had some patches that needed to be covered. The second coat took care of that with no problems. The coats dried relatively quickly, too. I thought I remembered reading that these polishes don`t dry nicely but I have to disagree on that point. I didn`t have any issues with drying time. The one thing I can think of that may be a drawback for some is the brush. It is one of the flat(ter) style that has a semi rounded tip. I know some absolutely had any paddle style brushes because of the size of their nail beds. I don`t find that I have large nail beds, but I prefer these style of brushes over traditional ones. I found the bristles on this brush were soft and flexible, thus allowing it to splay out well. For that reason, it was super easy for me to get my nails coated in just a couple of swipes. I, personally, love the brush. You just need to make sure you check the bottle before buying. I have had a problem in the past with Wet n Wild brushes being wonky and uneven. Just pop open the bottle and check the brush before you check out.
