This is one of those meals I picked up simply because of the low Weight Watchers Points Plus value associated. There are times during the week where I come home for 20 minutes and I`m back out the door until 8:30-9 at night and usually by 9 o`clock I`m more willing to make a bad food choice than a good one - simply because I`m starving. So I`ve found if I have a little something when I come home around 5:30 (which is what my dinner-time would normally consist of) I can eat a smaller dinner at night and be "good". Anyway!
I picked up this Weight Watchers brand Southwestern Style Turkey Chili w/ Beans. I tend to be wary of chilis because I make a mean chili and most pre-made chilis don`t have a lot of meat in them. But this one was half-decent, not a 5-star, but perhaps a 3. It had a good flavor to it, a little pizazz so it wasn`t dull and plain. It had corn and veggies in it, along with beans so there was good substance in it. After eating it, I wasn`t still hungry as what typically happens with smaller pre-portioned meals such as frozen meals. Would I repurchase again? Most likely, but it`s not something that I`d keep stocked in my fridge (since this is a refrigerated meal, it does have an expiration date).
Do you prefer homemade chilis over prepackaged chilis?
