This is a Weight Watcher meal which is sold in the refrigerator section of grocery stores. The thing with these meals is since they are not frozen, they have less sodium in them than the frozen variety. I will state off the bat, I don`t really LIKE the frozen version of this meal (which comes with mashed potatoes along with the turkey). I find the turkey to be just that ... fake turkey variety. BUT with THIS variety, I do enjoy it. The turkey is real turkey meat (generally the breast) and it`s covered in turkey gravy and paired along side stuffing. Now I purchased this primarily for the stuffing -- I am a stuffing fanatic BTW.
I will say this meal is good, it`s filling and you get a whole heaping amount of stuffing. The turkey is flavored well as is the gravy, BUT, it`s missing something. I said it`s missing salt. Yes, you`d think with the sodium that goes into this (which would most likely be more than it would be if you were to make the same dish at home) you would not need salt. But it was lacking a little bit of oomph. But other than that, this was a decent meal and I will be repurchasing once in a while. I don`t typically eat frozen dinners or refrigerated meals as I like to make my own food, but on the fly this is something I can grab and know I`d enjoy - with a salt pack handy ;).
Have you ever tried any Weight Watcher variety meal?
