Weights are typically associated with males and not just your average joe so but those big bulky, veins popping our of your head kinda guys but I think its about time girls start doing these sort of work outs. I started doing weight trainings a few summers ago when I wanted to really tone up my arms for to be able to achieve a fast crisp pop up on my surf board. The cool thing about weights training is that you can literally see the difference after about 2 weeks which is pretty fast compared to sports like jump rope or jogging. I would recommend you start off with a light weight and only do about two sets of 15 lifts so that you do not injure yourself and that you find a happy medium in your workout routine. When you feel confident you are able to lift a heavier weight then progress onto that.
