::weekend DIY projects::

4 years ago

Last Sunday was a day for football and projects I`ve been putting off. I have a ton of DIY ideas that I would like to try and I am going to try to tackle a little bit each week. This past weekend my girls asked me to embellish a beanie and a sweater with pearls. They realized how cool my beanie turned out (no, not really) and they asked me to hook them up.

The florescent pink sweater belongs my youngest. I added a couple of small pearls to the front of the shoulders.

The cream beanie was for my oldest. I used a washable marker to mark dots on where I wanted to sew the pearls. I used bigger pearls this time, since it was the same color I like how it brought some interest to the hat without calling for too much attention.

Last is a necklace that I bought in the summer time. I haven`t been wearing it as much as I would like because the length was kinda weird. It was right in the middle of my chest. Instead of just making it shorter, I arranged it so that the bolts would by displayed. This way it looked more interesting to me and now that the length is higher it looks better when I wear it with button up shirts.

That`s all for this weeks DIYs. Stay tuned for more. I hope to make this a weekly ritual.
