So lately I`ve been considering doing a fast...
I`ve been thinking about it for a number of reasons:
(no particular order)
I want to loose some weight for a trip I`m going on the summer. (exactly a month away) and from the research that I`ve done most people loose a fair amount of weight in a short period of time.
I also know that consuming nothing but water for a number of days (I havent decided how long Id fast if I were to)
but I know that consuming nothing but water would detoxify a lot. And thats a great health benefit right ?
The only trick would be easing out of the fast and making sure I wouldnt gain it all back within the first week or so afterwards x)
I need to make some diet changes anyways.
And last but certainly not least, I`ve heard of a lot of people feeling like theyve gotten closer in their relationship with God while fasting and that theyve grown spiritually.
If I do decide to go on a water fast, I would replace my regular eating times with praying or reading my Bible.
And I really think it would make me a stronger person.
What are your thoughts ? I`m open to your ideas..Im not exactly 100% sure what I should do..so if youve done this before I would love to hear what you think about it.
