I feel like alot of teenage girls are spending more money of trendy clothing than one stable wardrobe pieces. Like Forever 21 and H&M there are always going to be trends but the basics never gets old. In my opinion, I rather buy one expensive piece of clothing that is going to last me for years rather than 10 pieces of clothing that will last me a season or a year.
Also I would suggest purchasing basics and later on buy accessories to mix match.
Here are the piece in my opinion is a great start to build up your collection:
- A basic white tee: You can dress this up or down.
- Dress Pants: Everyone should have a pair of these, Man or Woman. This is an easy way to dress up without going over the top.
- A Fitted pair of jeans: Can be paired up with 98% of your outfits
-Basic cami/undershirts for layering: Can be layered with V necks or good for the winter to stay warm
-Plain Black Heels/Flats: This is a staple to your wardrobe. It`s for those outfits that are just simple and cute and you can`t wear bright pink heels with every outfit, the colors just won`t match up.
-Cardigan: Cardigans are great for the fall because they aren`t too warm but keep you warm. You can be so creative by the outfits you can put together with a cardigan.
-Little Black Dress: In every Women`s closet their must be at least one of their favorite little black dress. You can wear it to all different occasions and it never gets old.
There are so many more pieces of clothing that are considered basic. But these are just a few ideas, you can use this as a guide and fit your personality as you go shopping for them.
A few stores that I recommend are: Uniqlo, Zara, Topshop, and Nordstorm
