One of the places my wife wants to visit while we`re in Chicago is Lurie Garden. It`s a public park that is beautiful with its many flowers and design.
Located in Millennium Park in the Loop area of Chicago, it opened in 2004 costing $13.2 million. It spans roughly 5 acres of which half of it is planted with flowers. It`s free to public and open year round. At first when my wife told me about this place I thought it was a botanical garden. But it`s not. It kind of reminds me of the High Lines in New York. Where the city takes an relatively unused area and beautifies it to a public garden for people to take strolls and just relax. I think it`ll be among our stops as we visit Millennium Park.
