When it comes to Vietnamese desserts, I enjoy desserts/cakes that are usually green and jelly like especially like this cake called <strong>Banh Phu The</strong> which is also known as the Vietnamese Husband and Wife Cake. It`s called the Vietnamese Husband and Wife Cake because this sweet jelly like cake is extremely sticky and that symbolizes that the marriage will be sticky and last very long. Typically this cake is seen at a wedding or engagement party wrapped beautifully but now a days you also see this cake at the market too. At the Asian Market you`ll typically find four in a pack for about $2-4!
<strong>Have you ever tried this cake?</strong> I really like this cake because it`s sticky/chewy and there`s some mung beans on top that isn`t too overwhelming. I like to eat mung beans just not a lot so this is a perfect dessert for me. I always get it once in a while. I am a picky eater so if you are two, I would recommend this. =)
