This afternoon my family and I made a mini road trip to have lunch in Westminster, California. We originally wanted to eat at a different com tam restaurant but the wait was over a hour so we settled with Com Tam Tran Qui Cap, which is a restaurant recommendation by my aunt.
The wait? No wait. The location of this restaurant is quite hidden.
Photo above is what my boyfriend and I had (my parents ordered the same dish as I did).
Top picture (is my entree):
- I ordered the Combo #2 which is Tau Hu Ky, Tom, Thit Nuong, Bi Cha. In English that translates to
Rice with fried shrimp cake, shrimp, pork, shredded pork skin, and egg cake. This was $9.
Thoughts? Portion size is huge, lots of meats (shrimp, pork, egg) definitely could feed for two or half for lunch/half for dinner. I couldn`t finish and had to share with my boyfriend. Yet, he was so stuffed too!
Bottom Entree (my boyfriend`s)
- He ordered the Combo #1 which is the Tau Hu Ky, Nem Nuong Bi Cha. In English that translates to
Rice with fried shrimp cake, shrimp, BBQ pickled pork, shredded pork skin, and egg cake. This dish is also $9.
Overall: The food wasn`t bad, huge portion sizes!
