My boyfriend & I went to meet up our friend at Brodard Restaurant, which is a Vietnamese Restaurant known for nem nuong. She recommended this restaurant to try and boy, it`s a popular one! The wait for approximately forty minutes and we arrived at 7PM. Not only the location is good, they offer desserts and around the corner there is a 85 degree bakery. (I really wanted to visit the bakery afterwards but the line was out the door with over 30+ people maybe next time). Anyway, what did we all order?
Appetizer to share:
- Nem Nuong Cuon - Grilled pork sausage wrapped in rice paper with lettuce, cucumber, carrot, dikon and mint served with house special sauce. (The nem nuong cuon was so good my boyfriend & I ordered 4 rolls for to go!)
What I ordered:
- Mi Hoang Thanh - Rice Noodles with pork and shrimp wonton, BBQ pork topped with cilantro and scallions/shallots.
What my boyfriend ordered:
- Buon Cha Gio, Tom, Thit Nuong - Crispy egg rolls, grilled shrimp, BBQ pork with Asian greens, crushed peanuts, roasted shallots and lime with chili fish sauce.
- Macarons in Pistachio, Hazelnut, Coconut, Salted Caramel (my favorite).
Overall: A very good food experience except the wait was a pain! I would recommend this spot if you`re in the area.
