I was lucky enough to have such a sweet mom. She was at the market the other day and picked up a few Vietnamese Banh Bao (steamed buns) for me to snack on. I remember loving these when I was younger. I would always beg my mom to pick some up for me whenever we were at an Asian bakery. They are best when they are freshly made.
There are many different types of fillings that can be bought. I am pretty sure these are the pork banh bao (haven`t dug into them yet), which is the most original type.
Although they can be made at home (which I eventually want to try to do one day, once I get a bamboo steamer), it`s much more difficult than it looks. So for now, I`ll just continue having these from the bakery =D
