Venice is a city in northeast Italy which is known for it`s architecture, artwork, canals, gondolas, and Saint Marks Basilica. Venice is built from 117 islands formed by 177 canals in a shallow lagoon and connected by 409 bridges. The city averages about 50,000 tourists a day. In 2006 it was the 28th most visited city in the world. The colorful homes in picture 5 really remind me of my trip to Newfoundland as they had a section where a bunch of homes were painted in a similar fashion which my fiance`s dad called the jellybean house area lol. I`d love to go here one day and ride down a canal in a gondola to an amazing Italian restaurant like I have seen in some travel shows. The construction of Venice would make it a photo worthy travel destination. I wonder if I`d need to learn some Italian before visiting. I don`t like visiting places where I don`t know the native language mainly because I don`t want to be ordering things off the restaurant menus not knowing that they are, being ripped off, and peeing my pants if I couldn`t find a washroom lol.
Have you been to Venice?
Have you been on a Gondola ride before?
