These are 2 of the new things that I tried at a sushi restaurant a couple of days ago. I eat sushi all the time, but I had not tried these before so that`s why I specifically want to share these with you.
The first dish is a humongous sushi roll stuffed with vegetarian ingredients. There were marinated carrots, tofu, and other veggies. The roll was so big that it was hard to eat a piece in one swallow. Plus, dipping it in soy sauce makes it even easier to fall apart. I think the taste was alright. I prefer the type where there is a piece of sashimi on the sushi, as opposed to sushi rolls.
The second dish is a fried prawn head that actually came from the ebi sushi that I ordered. It was a surprise since this was not something on the menu that I ordered. It just came as a courtesy of the restaurant`s chef. It was definitely an interesting concept and it actually tasted pretty good as well. It was also decorated with strawberry pieces when it came but I ate all that before I took the picture. Not sure why the strawberries were added as I don`t think it complements the dish. But it sure added to the presentation.
