After a blah week so far, I decided I needed a little pick me up today. What better way to cheer myself up than with a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream and a few fresh raspberries?
-Vanilla bean ice cream: This is the same ice cream that I had with my apple pie post. I like how you can pick up a bit of that `bean` taste. It also had a nice creamy taste to it. I like how it was sweetened to the right touch.
-Raspberries: Even though these were ripe enough to eat, I found them to be sour. This probably might have been because I ate the sweet ice cream first and then the raspberries. The sweetness of the ice cream may have overpowered the natural sweetness of the raspberries, which may have result in me thinking that they were sour since my baseline of sweetness that I started with was quite high.
Overall I think this combination looked better than it tasted because sadly the raspberries were too sour after eating the ice cream. I probably won`t mix ice cream and raspberries again due to this experience. But if I do, I would eat the raspberries first and then ice cream.
Do you mix fruit and ice cream together?
