What better way to ring in Valentine`s Day than with red velvet cupcakes?! Red velvet cupcakes are one of my favourites since I just love the cream cheese frosting. And they definitely are a classic to eat. Oh and of course red matches the whole Valentine`s theme. I decided to buy just a pack (comes with six cupcakes) from Safeway since I was doing grocery shopping there today. I have never tried these from them before since I like to buy the mini cupcakes by this one brand that I can`t recall right now, but I know that they are sold at almost every grocery store.
-Design: These are your typical red velvet cupcakes (red batter and white frosting) with a touch of red and pink sprinkles to fit the theme for Valentine`s Day. Sadly these cupcakes got squished on the way home and the frosting was smushed on the lid :( But by the looks of it, there is a lot of frosting which is what I love!
-Size: These are regular sized cupcakes that are a bit smaller than the palm of my hand. If these came in minis, I`d probably eat them all in one sitting ha. But since these are fairly large, I guess I could maybe eat one...
-Price: For a pack of six cupcakes, these were $3.99 CAD. Which is really cheap compared to getting the same ones from specialty cake shops.
Overall I am really excited to have red velvet cupcakes again. It`s been a while since I last ate them and I love how they match the whole Valentine`s Day theme!
Do you like red velvet cupcakes?
