The Urban Decay Sustainable Palette is probably one the most unpopular palettes out there. Most likely because no one knows about it. Not because it isn`t good quality. However, I do think Urban Decay has improved their formulas ever since this palette came out. I got this a while ago, mainly because it came with a full sized primer potion. Otherwise I really would have overlooked this item.
The colors within are really pretty and a good variety too. There aren`t any matte shades though. I don`t think matte colors were so popular then. The really glittery shadows (Grifter, Uzi, Kiddie Pool, and Midnight Cowboy Rides Again) have chunky glitter and aren`t as smooth as the other ones. Half Baked is also included in the original Naked Palette. Midnight Cowboy and Oil Slick are also colors that Urban Decay likes to include in duplicate palettes. I really do like all the colors besides those with chunky glitter.
It has a swivel cover and magnetic closure, similar to the Illamasqua palettes, which make for easier access and I do appreciate that. It also has a mirror on the side, but really isn`t useful. The brush that came with it is too small to pack on eyeshadow so I hardly ever touch that. The palette can easily get dirty too as you can see, but I don`t mind it too much.
Overall, I don`t reach for this palette as much as I should. I like that the palette has both neutrals and colorful shades for days you don`t want to be so boring lol. I wish there was at least one or two matte shades. I do like that they included Oil Slick because I often have to reach for a black shadow. This isn`t something you need to go out and get, but it`s nice to have.
