The first real make-up I ever bought myself was an Urban Decay 24/7 pencil, and a bright green eye shadow over 10 years ago. I was on a class trip to the US and we were given an opportunity to stop at the duty free and I was immediately drawn towards the Urban Decay display. And thats where my UD obsession was born.
Ever since then, my love affair with Urban Decay has stayed strong. My love was only reinforced with the introduction of the first Naked palette. When the second one was released, I was 2nd on the waiting list and grabbed that one as well. With these two powerhouse palettes, I didnt really feel the need to buy any new eye shadows for a really long time. With Naked and Naked2, I could create a myriad of looks that still looked fairly natural. But then I heard about the Smoked palette being released and I knew I wanted it!
Smokey eye looks are probably my all time favourite and I was so excited to hear that UD was coming out with a palette solely dedicated to the smoky eye. The best part is that it doesnt only include blacks and browns, but rather includes a few jewel toned shadows as well, to create colourful smoky eye looks. It comes with a fantastic booklet that outlines different looks you can create and the palette comes with a mini primer potion and a 24/7 black eyeliner.
I was waiting for it to be released in Canada, but I already mentioned in a post that I was in Boston a few weekends ago and I was lucky enough to find it in Sephora. Its around 50 dollars for anyone looking to buy it! :)
BTW, My love for Urban Decay isnt letting up anytime soon either. I just ordered the Vice palette off of Sephoras website so I will probably be posting about that soon too!
