This is the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in the shade `EDEN`. These eyeshadow primers are UD`s #1 selling products, especially with their original primer. They also have SIN and GREED. Ive only tried the original formula so I decided to try this one ONLY because it was on sale at my local Nordstrom Rack. I didnt think the original was all that great but I was curious about the Eden because I heard that its suppose to be a matte finish. Since this particular packaging is old, it was on sale for only $8.97 (orig $18) The new squeeze tube packaging retails for $20.
Ya this packaging really does suck because of the curvy shape. Its hard to get all the product out. This consistancy is creamy and kind of like a runny concealer. I mean seriously, you can probably use it as a concealer. You apply a small amount onto your eyelids and blend. It dries really fast so youre able to apply your eyeshadows immediately after. Like with most eyeshadow primers, its purpose is to keep your makeup on longer and prevent creasing, etc. UD says that you can also use Eden as a shadow or highlighter. I do appreciate the slanted applicator. This makes it really easy and quick to dab product on the lids. I really didnt think this product did wonders. However, yes my eyeshadows did apply more better, the colors were more vibrant, and it did stay on a little better. You definitely DO need some kind of eye primer regardless. But this wasnt that great for me. I wouldnt have paid $20 for it. I`m sure there are better brand out there. I`ve seen a youtuber use the MAC `Soft Ochre` paint pot as her primer and it looked far better. Will have to give that one a try.
