I did a brush cleaning routine post a while ago and I just wanted to come back and let you all know my updated routine for deep cleaning my brushes and the products I use. I wash my brushes about once a week depending on how often I wear makeup that week. And, of course, I only wash the brushes I use.
Speaking of brushes, I actually have quite a few, not sure exactly how many. I have the complete Luuux Limited Edition Brush Set, I have about 15 or so E.L.F brushes including some eye brushes from the Essentials line and some eye and face brushes from the Studio line. I also have 2 NYX eye brushes and 2 Coastal Scents brushes.
To wash my brushes, I first rinse the bristles with warm running water to wet them and loosen any makeup on them. I then put a dot size amount of the baby shampoo I purchased from my local dollar store into my palm and work the bristles into the soap on my palm. I then sit the brush to the side with the soap in it and continue the same with the rest of my brushes.
Once I am done washing them all, I then proceed to rinse the bristles of each brush with running warm water. After rinsing them, I apply some of the Suave Kids conditioner to their bristles to condition them and keep them soft. I allow the conditioner to stay on them for 5-10 minutes and then I rinse each one with warm running water. After they are rinsed, I gently squeeze out all excess water from the bristles, shape them with my fingers and place them on the edge of a flat surface, usually my table, with the bristles hanging off the edge, as pictured above.
I then leave them to dry. When they are dry, usually by the next morning, they are clean, fresh, and smell like grape from the conditioner which I love.
Im interested in knowing how you ladies clean your brushes and what you use to clean them. Please share!!
Thanks for viewing guys!!
