Ulta Mini Haul: Nyx HD Foundation and Eyeliner

So Ulta was having a 40% off Physicians Formula, Almay and Nyx products last week and I knew I just had to try some products from Nyx because there are no stores that carry Nyx in my hometown (Im currently attending university). I only bought two things but so far Im impressed and will probably do an in-depth product review for each item in the near future after a few more uses.

First Impressions:

1. Nyx HD Studio Photogenic Foundation in #04 Sand Beige
Ive heard that this is like the intermediate between Makeup Forevers HD foundation and Revlons Photoready in that they both claim to show up well in pictures. However, unlike MUF it has a lot less shades and according to other reviews it has a more light to medium coverage and unlike the Photoready this has no shimmer to reflect light.

Perfect fix for the goddess in you! Whether for the catwalk or sidewalk, this liquid foundation glides on soft to velvety perfect smooth complexion for that dewy finished look. Strike your best pose and do that catwalk!

I tried this only in the store and found that it:
-blended seamlessly into my skin
-I only used probably a 10th of the size of a dime and a little goes a long way
-applied very smooth and even
-good amount of coverage definitely light but probably buildable
-was not cakey
-mineral based
-paraben free
-talc free
-cruelty free
-comes with a pump!!!!

I cant wait to try this and see how long it lasts but so far so good.
Original Price $14.99
+ 40% off $8.99
+$3.50 coupon $6.30
Product Amount 1.26oz <- more product than MUF and Photoready

2. Nyx Retractable Eye Liner in 01 White
I really want to try a white eyeliner and see if it really does give the illusion of bigger eyes when applied to the waterline. Especially since my Wet n Wild and NYC ones were so terrible. I also thought this would may be good for the inner tear ducts and possibly applied below the arch of my brows.

I tried this only in the store and found that it:
-takes ~10 seconds to set
-after it sets its really hard to get off I really had to rub it out and even then I need makeup remover to get the rest off
-Its soooo pigmented!
-applies creamily so I doubt it would tug at my eye line
-retractable so no sharpening required
-no parabans
-cruelty free

I cant wait to try this on my waterline and see if it really stays put!
Original Price $4.49
+40% off $2.69
+$3.50 coupon $1.88

This is my first time trying out Nyx products and I hope I end up liking them and will get to try more things from this brand. And youll definitely see a more in depth review after some more uses.

Have you ever tried any Nyx products? What are some good ones to try or bad ones to avoid?
