This is truly one of the most refreshing smoothies I have ever had. It was light and the flavors weren`t too heavy, too sweet, too zingy... it was just freshing. I really enjoyed it. More good news... it only required 3 ingredients (and 1 additional optional one). I made a full glass for myself and a small glass for my son. I wasn`t sure he`d actually like it because he usually likes them to be sweeter and be something like chocolate-banana or peanutbutter-banana. However, he REALLY liked his, too! YAY!
I started by pouring some unsweetened vanilla almond milk into my blender. Then I poured in some frozen fruit. I used a bag that had a mix of pineapple, strawberries, and mango. I blended the heck out of it and then at the end, while the blender was still running, I drizzled in a tiny bit of honey. I could have stopped there but after I had poured it into the cup I added a scoop of whipped cream. It looks like icecream, but it isn`t. It was just frozen, so it isn`t so fluffy.
A banana would have been a good flavor to add in, too. I do have bananas, but they`re not quite ripe enough to use yet. I`ll be just a couple of days before they`re ready to use in smoothies.
