My husband and I packed up our Honda Civic and hit the road from NC to Washington, DC!
We both didn`t get a chance to go in school so when we decided to take a trip we chose to go there.
I`ve always wanted to see the memorials and some of the Smithsonian Museums so that what we planned to do.
5AM off we went!
With a couple cups of coffee in tow, snacks and a few bottles of water we where ready to take over the world.
It was a beautiful day, and a beautiful drive!
Around 10AM we arrived with numb bottoms but otherwise unscathed.
The first day we went to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural Science and HOLY COW....
I didn`t even know where to begin!
It was MUCH bigger than I anticipated.
There where so many informative things and the building itself is absolutely stunning.
Of course you can`t go there without seeing the dinosaurs!
they had quite the collection of bones, shells, and pretty much anything fossil related you can think of.
this little baby made me "D`awww!"
So, so cute<3
Okay now, here`s a little something about me.
I am a HUGE fan of anything ancient Egyptian, so seeing the mummies and all of the other artifacts made my heart flutter!<3
(Third and fourth pics)
In fact that exhibit was my main reason for wanting to go, haha.
It didn`t disappoint!
they even had a large collection of mummified animals and jewelry.
(fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth pics)
Well, we had planned on cramming much, much more into our first day since we where only staying for two but we just couldn`t do it and ended up going back to our hotel for a much needed nap.
After waking from our nap we went for sushi!
I wish I had taken a picture or it because it was very pretty and very delicious!
please check out Part II coming soon!
