One of the most famous signature dishes in my country apart from Crab and Dumpling and Pelau(will be posting pics and an explanation for these soon) is Roti..This is made with filling curry meats(chicken, shrimp, goat, conch, beef) into a dhalpuri which resembles a pita bread(best way to explain it to foreigners) but is way thinner and is made with wheat flour, baking powder, salt, and water and cooked on a tava(picture above). Certain rotis are also made with butter. The dhalpuri is then stuffed with ground yellow split peas, cumin (geera), garlic, and pepper. It really is tasty and probably one of the favourites by foreigners...I urge if any ever visit my country Trinidad and Tobago( Land of the Best Carnival in the world) you will taste such a delicacy
