Hey everyone! I was at Trader Joe`s a while back and was wondering the aisles because I didn`t know what else I wanted to try. While I was in the canned soup aisles, there was this one lady and daughter putting a while bunch of these
Butternut Squash Soup boxes in their cart. I never tried butternut squash soup before so I thought I might as well give it a try since they were pretty much emptying out the shelves. I only grabbed one box for myself since it looked like they wanted all of it. While I was paying for all the food items that I bought, I asked the cashier what he thought about the soup and he said that its pretty good but better with a spoon of sour cream and some crutons. When I got home, I instantly heated it up and tried some. Now let me say, that when I first tried it, I didn`t like it at all. I ate it plain, just by itself. It was a horrible taste in my mouth. LOL I even had my boyfriend try some and he did not like it all. I didn`t want to waste any so I told my sister to bring home some sour cream. I made sure to add some sour cream to my second bowl, which made the soup taste so much better. If you were to ever try butternut squash soup, I highly recommend that you try it out with some sour cream. I wish I could have tried some with crutons but I forgot to tell my sister to buy some. I wouldn`t buy this again but if I had to, I would definitely make sure to buy some sour cream with it.
QUESTIONS: Have you ever tried butternut squash soup before? Do you eat it plain or with sour cream?
