So it seems like this has been the new it product at the moment and of course I jumped onto the bandwagon when I first heard about them too. Im talking about the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hour eyeshadows. I bought only 3 out of all the shades they had available and the one Im going to talk about is the one that I wanted the most which is called Tough as Taupe. The first thing I think about when I see the color is that it looks like wet cement! Lol seriously though thats what I first thought of. On a more serious note though the color is a muted grayish color and the pigmentation is really good. Also this particular shade was very opaque which is nice and it was also smooth and creamy. One thing though that caught me off guard was the fact that once I rubbed my finger in the pot and got some product out the color completely changed. It pretty much was a different color underneath the top layer but it was still a nice color. There are no shimmers or glitters in this and its more of a cream finish but to me it seemed like it dried matte. It claims to last 24 hours but I didnt test it out that long. I did however wear it all day from the time I got ready in the morning until before going to bed at night. I wore it without a primer underneath and I was really impressed with it! It didnt crease on me at all and it also didnt fade.
I would say that these are amazing drugstore alternatives to M.A.C. paint pots not only because of the significant price difference but also because of how great the quality is! These would be great as bases or stand alone shades. I probably would use this product both as a base and a cream eyeshadow so I cant wait to see what eye looks I can come up with this! Ill try and post an EOTD featuring this soon & I will also post about my 2 other color tattoo shadows later.
