Touchy is a camera that`s based on human contact to operate. It is a project of Eric Sui who says it`s a "phenomenological social interaction experiment that aims to get people talking about the social anxiety and loneliness that is a result of leading an online life." When you put on Touchy the shutters are closed so the user is "blind." Once human contact is established and maintained for 10 seconds, the camera captures an image, which is displayed on the back. It is definitely neat. I`d like to know how it recognizes human contact, but would never wear something like that. The guy looks a little creepy in the video lol.
Would you wear a camera like this?
What do you think of the concept behind Touchy?
