My first impression was quite amazed though. There`s something about the degree of shimmer in the shadows that is really flattering to me. Being a brown-skinned (but pale) girl, I`m really picky about colors. Very vibrant things seem to look bad on my skin unless I`m at my palest, and these were the perfect neutral shades. The pink duochrome (Sheer Pink) is by far my favorite color, I`m sure it will be the first one I hit pan with! And blush and bronzer and also perfect combination with a beautiful and subtle hint of color in the Translucent Nude lipgloss.
Top: Bronze Copper, Cool Taupe, Sheer Pink, Antique Gold
Bottom: Velvet Matte, Cream, Slate Grey, Black Gold
Blush: Peachy Pink
Bronze: Rich Golden Glow
Lipgloss: Translucent Nude
The colors are nicely pigmented. They apply smoothly with minimal fallout, and can be built up upon. The colors blend well for great combination application, and also look beautiful when applied individually. The finishes are mostly shimmer, but they are a soft shimmer rather than heavily glittered. As for wear time, they do fade quickly if you have a tendency to rub your eyes, but otherwise they hold up great.
My favorite part though, is the packaging. I`ve never liked pocket palettes, but this one is super cute and has a nice size of all product included, so I can see myself keeping this as a staple in my purse content.
Using the palette for my interview look, I used the Bronze Copper all over my lid and under my waterline, Velvet Matte to accent my crease, and Cream as my highlight color. I also used both the blusher and bronzer combo on my cheeks, with the Translucent Nude lipgloss over my bare lips.
