My mom made a ton of bánh hi for a party/customer order this weekend, so we had some extra to eat for dinner. Bánh hi is basically woven vermicelli noodles. While it seems plain Jane and all, it actually involves a long, multi-step cooking process. I eat mine with spicy fish sauce and lots of greens. I`m not a huge meat lover, so I don`t really eat much unless told to. LOL. The only vegetables we had were the mung bean sprouts, cilantro and lettuce. So, I pretty much just ate bánh hi, the vegetables mentioned and three pieces of meat. Oh and I ate a lot more vegetables than shown in the picture. I just didn`t have space on my plate.
Have you had bánh hi before?
